Judy Schoenberg, Ed.M.,is Director of Research & Outreach at the Girl Scout Research Institute (GSRI), Girl Scouts of the USA. There she conducts original national research studies on issues focused on the healthy development of girls 6-17 and develops strategic relationships with partners to promote GSRI as a thought leader on girls’ issues. Judy also tracks youth trends and writes research reviews on topics of interest to educators, policymakers and practitioners. Recent publications include:

Judy is an official spokesperson for GSUSA and frequently speaks at conferences and other events. Before joining Girl Scouts, Judy was a program officer for girls, young women and leadership at the Ms. Foundation for Women. She received a fellowship in young women’s leadership from the Center for Visionary Leadership and was a fellow with the Coro Leadership New York Program for civic participation.
Judy holds a Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College in comparative literature and a Masters in Education in human development and psychology from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, where her work focused on adolescent development and gender differences research.
